A night with The Oak Ridge Boys

In the midst of the craziness of moving, end of school, baseball, etc. we took time out to see one of our favorite bands - The Oak Ridge Boys. These guys have been a favorite of Rick's since before high school. We actually used to have little arguments over them - as I was a HUGE Alabama fan in high school. Alabama would always be up against the ORB at awards ceremonies and Alabama would usually win. "A conspiracy" Rick would always say. But over the years I have become an even bigger fan of the Oak Ridge Boys. We've had the pleasure of meeting these guys several times and they are truly genuine and caring. Once we saw they were finally coming to Charlotte, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see them in concert. They were playing at the Blumenthal - which is a great place to see a concert. We all went to the Capitol Grill downtown and had a great meal.
Our server loved Jason's picture so much, she asked if it could be the first picture they hung in the kitchen. She took him back there and showed him where it was hanging - he loved it! The concert was great, and brought back a lot of great memories for Rick and I. It was so fun to watch our boys sing along to the songs we listened to for years. It was a truly memorable evening!
