Welcome to 3rd Grade!

Well today started off great! David woke up in a great mood and didn't complain or cry the whole way to school. Daddy, Jason and I walked him to his new classroom, helped him put his stuff in his locker and kissed him goodbye. After dropping David off, we headed to the grassy area outside the school and prayed for the school year. This is a tradition we started in Kindergarten and opened it up to the school last year. Many parents (more than double last years) joined hands in a circle and prayed for our children, faculty and staff for this school year. God's presence was felt and I was so blessed to be a part of it. Even in this busy first day, the office staff (including the Headmaster) joined us. What a blessing it is to live in a country where you can still do this. How thankful I am for this school and all they mean to us.
One of the best things about today was when I picked David up a lunch time I asked him about his day and he said "my teacher is the nicest teacher I have ever met!". Thank you God for answered prayers.

Lockers! David's in the big time! Great post and I'm so glad the first day went well.
