My first born turned 8 today. He had a great birthday - Dad came to school and brought him Wendy's (his request), brownies for the class and hung out and played football at recess with them all - he was the hero for the day! I just finished icing cupcakes for his party tomorrow at the park. Who would have ever thought I'd be buying my child an Ipod for his 8TH BIRTHDAY! Yikes. He loves it and says this was his best birthday ever. I agree.
He's changing so much I wish that I could just keep him in a box. He's maturing into a fine young man and his dad and I are so proud of him. He has great discernment in choosing his friends and I pray that always continues. How blessed we are to have him as a son.

8 years old!

Found it!
We bought our daughter an iPod for her 6th birthday and she's loved it ever since. When she turns 8 this fall, she's hoping for a new, updated iPod or a new bike. Priorities, you know :-)
